Inspired by the classic TVS program, TV POWWW! recreates the excitement of the original show, where contestants watching from home would shout "POW!" into their telephone to fire at invading UFOs on their television screens. Programmer XAN has faithfully recreated that experience for the Atari 2600, replacing the shouted command with your joystick's Fire button while preserving the unpredictable movement and challenge that made the original so memorable.

Gameplay

Your mission is simple to understand but difficult to master.

A targeting sight is fixed in the center of the screen while enemy UFOs dart unpredictably through your crosshairs. Press the Fire button at just the right moment to launch a missile and destroy them before time expires.

Success depends on timing, patience, and accuracy. Fire too quickly and you'll waste valuable ammunition. Wait too long and the clock will beat you. The UFOs rarely fly where you expect, making every shot count.

Easy to learn and surprisingly addictive, TV POWWW! captures the fast-paced arcade style that Atari fans love.
