Take your place behind the line and see how many you can sink in 3 Point Contest, a fast and simple basketball challenge for the Atari 2600!

The rules couldn't be easier: you've got 20 basketballs, one basket, and one chance to prove you've got the shot. Press FIRE to begin, line up your attempt, and FIRE to shoot. Then do it again. And again. Every basket adds to your score, but every miss means one less ball between you and the final buzzer. Once all 20 balls are gone, your run is over and your score is locked in.

There are no complicated plays to memorize, no teammates to blame, and definitely no referee to argue with. It's just you, the basket, and twenty opportunities for glory.

3 Point Contest captures the pick-up-and-play spirit that makes the Atari 2600 so much fun. It's easy enough to understand immediately, but the real challenge comes from trying to beat your own best score, then handing the joystick to someone else and watching them discover that making "just one more basket" isn't quite as easy as it looks.
