Goober the Alien - Atari 2600

This is a budget pack game which comes in a smaller box with cartridge only.

Meet Goober, the most charming alien on the planet Goob. Possibly the most charming alien anywhere. We haven't actually checked.

Unfortunately, Goober has a problem. His peaceful little world is under attack by the Planet of Sentient Asteroids, because apparently regular asteroids weren't dangerous enough. Their plan is simple: fall out of the sky and smash Goober. Goober's plan is even simpler: DON'T BE THERE WHEN THEY LAND.

Take control of Goober and move left and right to dodge the endless barrage of incoming asteroids. Every asteroid that sails harmlessly past Goober falls to its doom, bringing Goob one tiny step closer to salvation. Sounds easy, right?

It isn't.

Every four asteroids you successfully dodge, the game gets faster. Then faster. Then considerably faster. Eventually, Goober The Alien stops feeling like a cute little Atari game and starts feeling like a personal attack on your reflexes.

You have three lives. Use them wisely. Or don't. You'll probably lose them anyway.

With simple pick-up-and-play controls, relentlessly increasing speed, and gameplay designed to make you say "ONE MORE TRY" far more times than is medically advisable, Goober The Alien is an old-school Atari 2600 score-chasing challenge where surviving just a little longer becomes an obsession.

The maximum score is 9,999.
